Water is much better at pulling the heat away from your body than air is. Persons 15 years and older can be fully certified to scuba dive on open water. Younger children can receive a more restrictive junior certification. Scuba Diving Schools do not teach you how to swim; you must be able to swim before you attend a class. The average cost for a complete course on Scuba diving is between 170 and 250 USD.
